Dermazone Solutions Recognized at Nano Florida International Conference
ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. Dermazone Solutions is pleased to announce that its Formula Development Division tied for third place in the poster category on Nano-biotechnology, Tissue Engineering, and Nano pharmaceutics at the NanoFlorida International Conference. Participants included Jeffrey Reynolds, Senior Director of Research and Development, Nicole McCardy, director of R&D Formulation Chemist II and Dr. Julian Bejarano. The NanoFlorida International Conference occurred on 15-17 November 2019 and draws attendees from across the globe, from academics, researchers, and industrial practices using nanotechnologies. The conference is conceived to help build collaborations among nanoscience specialists while connecting professional and academic experts through a venue designed to enable research sharing of induvial and group efforts.
The Dermazone poster was a review of research completed demonstrating the benefit of our nano-lipidic particle technology as enhancing topical delivery of an active ingredient. We chose cannabidiol (CBD) encapsulated in our NLP technology, added to a regular lotion formulation. When this product was compared to an equivalent formula (without NLP), under confocal Raman microscopy, the data was irrefutable, demonstrating that the presence of NLP enabled faster, deeper and greater concentration of CBD to penetrate into the skin. After 3 hours and 20 hours, the differences between the formula with and without NLP were dramatic.
